一、海外网

海外网(www.haiwainet.cn)于2012年11月6日正式上线,由人民日报社和人民网股份有限公司共同投资设立的海外网传媒有限公司负责运营。

海外网是人民日报海外版官方网站,是人民日报海外版数字化转型的重要支撑平台。

海外网延续人民日报海外版的属性,受众对象主要是海外华人华侨、海外中国留学生、我驻外使领馆人员、海外中资企业员工以及海外中文读者。

海外网以“海外视野,中国立场;文化情怀,思想高度”为办网方针,充分发挥人民日报海外版官网权威性的优势,第一时间向读者提供关于中国热点、国际时政,特别是涉华国际新闻事件的权威解读。

海外网以时政评论和资讯服务为特色,着力打造三大平台:海外华人精神家园,全球同胞网上社区,政府形象展示平台。

海外网的发展目标:中国在海外具有重要影响力的新媒体。

二、领导关怀

2015年5月, 中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平就人民日报海外版创刊30周年作出重要批示,充分肯定人民日报海外版30年来取得的成就,对进一步做好对外宣传工作、创新对外宣传方式提出明确要求和殷切期望。

中共中央政治局常委、中央书记处书记刘云山,中共中央政治局委员、中央书记处书记、中宣部部长刘奇葆也分别作出批示,要求认真贯彻习近平总书记重要批示精神,把握正确导向,创新内容形式,发挥特色优势,进一步增强国际传播话语权、影响力。

2014年11月11日,亚太经合组织第二十二次领导人非正式会议在北京举行。海外网派出记者团队进驻APEC新闻中心,全程报道会议盛况。联想集团总裁兼CEO杨元庆、招商银行前行长马蔚华等重量级嘉宾做客海外网APEC现场演播室。

全媒体直播抗战胜利日阅兵盛况

2015年9月3日,纪念中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利70周年

大会在天安门广场隆重举行,海外网派出记者团队全媒体直播大会盛况,推出“抗战胜利暨世界反法西斯战争胜利70周年”专题、“阅兵直播间”、“阅兵H5”等新闻产品。阅兵直播间当日即取得3800万访问量,相关微博阅读量达到650万。11个国家和地区的海外媒体同步直播了海外网相关报道。

独家网络报道第三次“习连会”

2015年9月1日,中共中央总书记习近平会见参加中国人民抗日战争暨世界

反法西斯战争胜利70周年纪念活动的连战等台湾各界代表人士。海外网派出记者采访,作为现场唯一一家大陆网络媒体,报道会见过程,多平台推出《习近平见连战,一些未披露的细节》一文,文章受到海内外关注,并被多家知名新闻门户放置头条位置。

七、品牌活动

2015年5月21日,由人民日报海外版主办、海外网承办的“首届海外华文新媒体高峰论坛暨人民日报海外版创刊30周年座谈会”在北京召开并取得圆满成功。本届论坛是海外华文新媒体领袖的第一次盛会,受到中央领导的高度重视。论坛结束后,中共中央政治局委员、中宣部部长刘奇葆亲切会见了部分海外华文新媒体代表,并进行座谈。来自40多个国家和地区的170多家海内外华文新媒体、400余位海外华文新媒体代表、知名侨领、境内知名媒体负责人、传媒专家与会。

论坛受到海内外媒体的广泛关注,取得了良好的社会传播效果。5月21日晚,中央电视台《新闻联播》头条播发中共中央总书记、国家主席习近平就人民日报海外版创刊30周年做出重要批示的新闻。5月22日出版的《人民日报》头条也对此进行了报道。同时,120多家海外华文媒体聚焦本届论坛。

为促使海外华文新媒体更加深入了解中国建设和发展,论坛结束后举办“海外华文新媒体采风行”。于2015年5月22日,海外华文媒体代表奔赴云南、沈阳、泉州、仙居实地采访。

1. Haiwainet

Funded by People’s Daily and People.cn Co.,Ltd, Haiwainet Media Co., Ltd is responsible for operating the website, which launched on November 6th 2012.

Haiwainet.cn is the official website of People’s Daily Overseas Edition and also the important supporting platform for its digital transition.

Target Audiences: Overseas Chinese, Chinese students abroad, staff of Chinese embassies around the world, workers in the Chinese-funded companies and foreigners who read in Chinese.

Guiding Principle: Disseminating news with overseas vision from a standpoint of China, serving audiences with cultural concerns and deep insights. Haiwainet takes full advantage of being the official website of People’s Daily Overseas Edition; it offers hot issues of China and the world in the first time, presents authoritative analysis on international relations between China and other countries.

Comments and news are the distinguishing features of Haiwainet. We aim at building up three platforms: spiritual homeland of overseas Chinese, online community for all Chinese people and a display place for government image representation.

Development goal: A crucial and influential Chinese new media in overseas.

2. Support from Leaders

In May 2015, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chinese President Xi Jinping, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Liu Yunshan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee Liu Qibao made important instructions for the 30th anniversary of People’s Daily Overseas Edition.

Leaders from the People’s Daily conducted inspections at Haiwainet and provided guidance for its work.

3. Leaping Development

Since Haiwainetwas launched, it has achieved a great leaping development, and an enormous promotion of its influence and brand recognition.

In June 2014, Haiwainet’s daily page view stayed at 13 million, peaked at 39.72 million. In the

Alexa website ranking, Haiwainet got 45th place in China and 292nd in the world.

On May 21st, 2015, The First Overseas Chinese New Media Forum & Symposium on the 30th Anniversary of People’s Daily Overseas Edition was held in Beijing. The forum, which was hosted by People’s Daily Overseas Edition and organized by Haiwainet, attracted more than 170 Chinese new media from over 40 countries and regions, as well as more than 400 guests including representatives of overseas Chinese new media, leaders of overseas Chinese, directors of well-known domestic media and media experts. The forum has received a lot of attention from the society.

6.Overseas Undertakings

Haiwainet sets its strategic orientation for development as “going overseas”. We will gradually design numbers of localized channels and sub-websites in the countries and regions where a large group of the overseas Chinese and Chinese students gathers. We aim to form a network of Haiwainet sub-websites with the increasing presence and influence.

Germany Channel starts a new mode of the cooperation between Haiwainet and overseas media, realizes the efficient-connect of overseas resources, and makes the website traffic keep increasing.

Singapore Channel

Singapore Channel is an important symbol for overseas layout and going overseas, also an important step for the international progress of Haiwainet.

Netherland Channel

The Netherland Channel is a platform for the communication and interaction between China and Netherland in political, economic, cultural and other aspects.

New Zealand Channel

The New Zealand Channel is the official platform of Haiwainet to provide Chinese people in New Zealand with news and information, policy interpretation as well as investment trends. 7. Brand Promotion

On May 21st, 2015, The First Overseas Chinese New Media Forum & Symposium on the 30th Anniversary of People’s Daily Overseas Edition was held in Beijing and proved to be a great success.

1)About the Forum

This forum is the first grand gathering of leaders of the overseas Chinese new media industry. As it was held at the time of the 30th anniversary of People’s Daily Overseas Edition, the forum received high attention from the central leadership. General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chinese President Xi Jinping, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Liu Yunshan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee Liu Qibao made important instructions for the 30th anniversary of People’s Daily Overseas Edition. After the forum, Liu Qibao met some of the representatives of overseas Chinese new media and had a discussion with them.

2)Guests of the Forum

More than 170 Chinese new media from over 40 countries and regions, as well as more than 400 guests including representatives of overseas Chinese new media, leaders of overseas Chinese, directors of well-known domestic media and media experts participated the forum. They conducted an in-depth exploration on the theme of “New Media and National Image Communication” and exchanged views with each other.

3)Influence of the Forum

The First Overseas Chinese New Media Forum received huge attention from both domestic and overseas media, and also made great social impacts. On the evening of May 5th, CCTV News Broadcast reported the news that Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, made important instructions for the 30th anniversary of People’s Daily Overseas Edition. Besides, it was also the headline of both People’s Daily and People’s Daily Overseas Edition published on May 22nd. Meanwhile, more than 120 overseas Chinese media reported on this forum.

4)Overseas Chinese New Media Touring in China

In order to help overseas Chinese new media know more about the material and cultural development of China’s cities, and to improve the communication among these media, the forum organized a subsequent activity called “Overseas Chinese New Media Touring in China”. The tour began on May 22nd. Representatives from overseas Chinese new media were divided into four groups, and travelled to Yunan, Shenyang, Quanzhou and Xianju respectively to do field interviews. While experiencing the culture of different cities, the representatives have also felt the rapid development of China in recent years.
